Vinyl-Lux

I have had this shell chair for a couple years. I finally did something with it. Long ago I stripped it and scraped all the crumbling foam off. I made paper patterns off the original fabric pieces. These chairs are really neat, very well designed! Of course!  I cut new pieces of foam for this chair and glued them down. Then made this slip cover for the chair off the patterns. I did my pinstripe stitching. I want to sell kits for these chairs for 4 new pieces of foam and a new vinyl cover like this. Maybe without the stitching, any color vinyl. The cover is not glued down or screwed in anywhere.

Trying to capture some of that lonesome majesty you would see on a truckstop t shirt. Space wolf. Reminder that I would love to make spare tire covers for custom vans out there.

He sent the whole old seat in the mail along with some photos of a past seat I did and some basic instructions on the style he wanted. I stripped the seat,cleaned and painted the pan. Built the foam from the pan up in the style. New cover and ready to go . Thanks David!!!

It is 100% original. It doesn’t even smell. I was thinking of redoing the seats and cushions ,but no way. It’s too nice. And rare, what a time capsule. I am going to do a spare tire cover. I want to get into doing spare tire covers for custom vans. It could match your van with personalized colors,words and vinyl-lux images. No what I mean?? If you have a van and need a tire cover made call me!!!

Another good ol’ fashion honda seat redo. I built new foam from scratch starting with closed cell pad on the bottom and half inch high density foam on top and in the pleat panel. The old foam was turning to dust and he had tape over the air holes in the pan to keep the dust from covering his engine each time he rode it. That’s annoying.
